Filming a Choir at the Massey Studios (Taylah - ‘Undies’ Song Teaser)

Taylah Barker is an amazing Pōneke based vocalist, originally hailing from Kerikeri. She has worked with some amazing artists, including Troy Kingi and Odd Jive. She is now diving head-first into her solo project, and she got in touch for us to film a short teaser piece for her new song ‘Undies’. This track is an awesome, catchy, femme empowerment anthem. Taylah’s first single was released in November 2020, and ‘Undies’ is her second single as a solo artist.
For the end of the song, she recruited a bunch of incredible female, non-binary and trans singers to sing with her on the last shout chorus.
We wanted to maintain a documentary style for this work, and show the authentic happiness and friendship these musicians embodied during the recording session. It was amazing to feel the energy in the room, and the positive vibes were overflowing once everyone was able to hear the results in the mix for the first time. Toby Lloyd from Tiny Triumph Recordings was producing the track, and Nicole Hardie was engineering the session. The track is due for release on May 14th, keep an ear out!
